Lacoste was true to its vision when it comes to keeping an aspect of sportiness in their line.

It was an additional delight to see the collection highlight feminine silhouettes while embracing clean lines. This year marks the 80th anniversary for Lacoste and they are offering more for us to look at than their classic polo shirts they’re known for. Bright orange along with classic fall colors such as black and white were present within the collection.

Color blocking and rounded tops and tapered hemlines for bottoms created a slim line for women’s wear. A creative and interesting aspect to the line was designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s use of diagonal zippers on a leather dress. We also saw some piping on dresses that drew the eye in. Menswear saw a punch of prints among a monochromatic collection. The incorporation of prints was executed in an understated manner, which is in fitting with the theme.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the collection was the use of Monaco blue and black in their jackets and while keeping a clean and crisp look that provides versatility to the consumer. Baptista’s attempt to keep things interesting his use of rounded tops paid off and is redefining the way we see the brand and what it has to offer.
